Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position requiring AHA BLS certification and a minimum 100-mile radius from the facility.

Details

• Medical-Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Floating required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• Contract RNs are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside regular patient care responsibilities
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility's service area; local candidates are not accepted
• All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
