American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Float Pool ICU position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and the ability to float across multiple pediatric and specialty units on night shifts.

Details

• Hospital-based Float Pool position covering multiple units including a 34-bed PICU, 25-bed CICU, 112-bed NICU, and acute care units (surgical, behavioral health, med specialty including GI/neuro/respiratory, hem/onc, step-down, and cardiac peds)
• NICU float assignments are limited to feeder grower/low acuity patients only — not traditional NICU care
• Frequent use of trach management, high-flow oxygen, and infusion therapy; travelers serve as first line for skills
• Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
• Weekends and holidays required
• Float Pool assignment requiring flexibility across all children's units

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Experience with trach care, high-flow oxygen, and infusion therapy required
• ADN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
• Full date of birth and full SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, obtaining physiological data, and collaborating with physicians and support staff
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may complete one extension for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for another contract
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — onboarding (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance; start dates will not be pushed for non-compliant travelers
• BSN from a board-approved program is preferred
