American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric experience for a day shift position in a hospital respiratory care department in Oklahoma City, OK.

Details

• Hospital-based respiratory care department serving pediatric patients
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Previous experience in a children's-only hospital is preferred
• 26-week contract

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience required; 2 years in a critical care setting preferred
• RRT credential required (or must be obtained within 12 months of hire)
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Oklahoma (or license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification from AHA required (within 3 months of hire)
• All certifications must be issued by the AHA
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document patient responses in the computerized medical record
• Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring
• Serve as a resource person to medical staff and provide age-appropriate care across all patient age groups
• Participate as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
• Responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and ensuring proper operation of respiratory equipment
• Workers who have previously been placed at this facility may extend only once, for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for another contract
• This facility maintains strict compliance deadlines — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance
