Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Special Care Nursery (Level II) position requiring charge nurse experience, NRP and STABLE certifications, and prior travel or per diem experience.

Details

• Special Care Nursery (Level II) in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:50 AM - 7:20 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to postpartum unit for baby care assignments
• Scrubs are provided

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, and STABLE
• Minimum 2 years of Special Care Nursery / Level II experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Delivery room experience required
• Preceptor experience highly preferred
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment or 1 month of per diem experience
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to neonatal patients in a Special Care / Level II Nursery environment
• Precept and support nursing staff as needed
• Assist with delivery room responsibilities as required
• All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at the time of application
