American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring 5 years of L&D experience and active certifications including NRP Advanced Provider or Instructor.

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Certifications required (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
• Minimum of 5 years of L&D nursing experience
• Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience
• Level 1 trauma facility experience required
• Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to assigned patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Responsible for documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products
• Assists physicians with patient examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
• Monitors and responds to physiological changes in patients
• Engages with patients and families regarding care plans and hospital procedures during admission and at discharge
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract (extensions are limited to one time, for a total of 26 weeks)
• Compliance requirements, including drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements, must be initiated immediately upon acceptance of an offer; start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
