Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position at a Fort Worth, TX hospital, requiring at least 1 year of PACU or ICU experience and ACLS certification.

Details

• Located in the Recovery Room (PACU) on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building, adjacent to the OR
• 26-bed PACU unit serving patients undergoing general, neuro, oncology, orthopedic, vascular, and all types of surgical procedures
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift (9:00 AM – 9:00 PM) with one night per week and one weekend shift required
• Night shift operates on-call with 2 PACU nurses
• Floating to Day Surgery may be required
• Meditech EMR

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or ICU experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provides post-anesthesia recovery care for a diverse surgical patient population
• Staffed with experienced, highly regarded nursing staff and state-of-the-art equipment
• Royal blue or hospital-provided scrubs required
• Practice follows ASPAN guidelines
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
