American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care / Step-Down Unit position in Illinois, requiring active IL and IA (or compact) RN licensure and a minimum of 2 years of step-down experience.

• Progressive Care / Step-Down Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Floating to the ED is required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license and active IA RN license (or compact RN license) required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of step-down / PCU experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Driver's License required for consideration
• One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration

• Candidates must have a taxable address located more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates residing within 50 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
• Travelers who were employed by the facility within the 12 months prior to consideration may be refused
• Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• RTO during the Thanksgiving week (11/26–11/30) and winter holiday period (12/23–1/2) is limited to 1 day per window, regardless of holidays worked
