American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Pulmonary unit position requiring at least 2 years of experience and an active AL or compact RN license, with night shift scheduling and every other weekend coverage.

Details

• 36-bed inpatient pulmonary telemetry unit focused on diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory disorders and lung diseases or injuries
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as assigned
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Floating to other units and hospitals is required
• EMR: Meditech (experience preferred but not required)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AL state or compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted
• No hits (past or current) on RN license allowed
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; candidates with at least 18 months may be considered
• At least 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or pulmonary specialty required
• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher required
• NURSYS license verification required for consideration
• Current driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for delivering high-quality, specialized care to patients with a variety of respiratory conditions and lung injuries
• Works collaboratively with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy teams
• Solid navy scrubs required
• A cardiac exam will be required upon offer acceptance
• No HealthStream modules required prior to start — competency-based modules are completed during virtual orientation
