Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Nephrology Telemetry night shift position at an acute care hospital, requiring an active MO or compact RN license and experience with peritoneal dialysis.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 233 staffed beds
• Nephrology Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Peritoneal dialysis performed on this unit
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Every other weekend requirement: Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on current rotation
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Active MO RN license required; IL candidates may apply with a pending IL license
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• 1–2 years of RN experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Peritoneal dialysis experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No RTO restrictions, though no time off is permitted during the first week of orientation; maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
• Travelers may remain at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of BJC must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Navy scrubs required
