American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week day shift contract at a 337-bed hospital in Charlotte, NC, requiring the ability to float across multiple regional facilities.

Details

• Work in the Respiratory Care department of a 337-licensed-bed hospital with a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center designation
• Adult and NICU patient population (no pediatric)
• High-volume department averaging 300+ patients per day
• Equipment includes Servo ventilators (I, U, and Airs), Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble CPAP
• EMR: Epic
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
• Floating is required across the Region 2 network, which includes Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, any freestanding ED within Region 2, and Central Division facilities (CMC Main, CMC Mercy, and Levine Children's Hospital)

Requirements

• RRT or CRT credential required
• NC state licensure required (license required if applicable)
• Active certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
• Minimum 12 months of core experience in the unit specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
• Experience across critical care settings including Critical Care, CVICU, NICU, ED, Progressive Care, and general floor therapies
• Epic EMR experience
• Candidate's permanent address must be more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates who have held a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
