Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, with Neuro IR experience required and on-call availability expected.

Details

• Procedural IR unit within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Patient population includes ischemic stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), subdural hematoma (SDH), aneurysms, and patients on vents and anesthesia
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Some on-call days and nights required
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Neuro IR experience required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma environments required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Demonstrated ability to manage critical, fast-paced clinical situations

• Provide procedural nursing care to complex neurological and trauma patients in an Interventional Radiology setting
• This facility is a Level 1 trauma center managing diverse, severe, and high-complexity cases
