Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN with Level 1 trauma circulating experience and a completed prior travel assignment for a 13-week contract in Washington, DC.

Details

• Position is in the Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) unit of a large hospital
• Shift options include 3x12 or 4x12 hours, with day (6:30–19:00) or evening (11:00–23:30) availability
• On-call requirement of 6 calls per 6-week schedule
• One weekend or holiday shift required per 6-week schedule
• May float to general surgery when CVOR cases are not scheduled
• On-campus parking is available, eliminating shuttle concerns for evening shift staff

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required; pending DC license accepted provided application has been submitted and license is obtained prior to start date
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR RN experience required
• Circulating experience in the OR is required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Completion of at least one prior travel nursing assignment required

• Candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility to be eligible for this position
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
