Description

American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with home health experience for a day shift, 13-week contract in the Salinas, CA area.

Details

• Home health setting with a 1:1 patient-to-therapist ratio, visiting up to 6 patients per day
• Standard productivity expectation of 30 points per day
• Day shift schedule, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Weekend availability may occasionally be required
• On-call is not required
• Utilizes Home Health MD as the EMR system
• Case travel radius may occasionally exceed 50 miles
• Local candidates are accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active CA COTA license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of home health experience required
• Reliable personal transportation is required, as travel between patient homes is necessary
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Additional Information

• Patient scheduling is optimized to minimize drive time and windshield time between visits
• Timely communication and documentation are expected
• Documentation tools will be provided by the agency and must be returned upon contract completion
• Business casual attire or scrubs are acceptable
• Mileage reimbursement is provided at the IRS standard rate
• No parking costs associated with this position
