Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with a CA license and at least 1 year of home health experience for a 13-week home health assignment in the San Jose/Salinas/Santa Cruz, CA area.

Details

• Home health setting, beginning primarily in the Salinas area with potential coverage in the Santa Cruz area based on patient census
• Patient caseload is 1:1, with up to 6 patient visits per day and a standard of 30 productivity points
• Uses Home Health MD for documentation and charting
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday with weekend coverage as needed
• No on-call requirement
• Occasional travel up to 50+ miles may be required; personal transportation is required

Requirements

• Current active CA PTA license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent home health experience required
• Reliable personal vehicle required for patient visits

Additional Information

• Patient scheduling is optimized to minimize drive and windshield time between visits
• Timely communication and documentation are expected
• Documentation tools will be provided by the facility and must be returned at the end of the assignment
• Business casual attire or scrubs are acceptable
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
• All time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted upfront
• Mileage reimbursement is provided at the IRS standard rate; no parking costs
