American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient position at a Level IV Trauma Critical Access Hospital, with Epic EMR experience required and facility-provided housing and vehicle included.

Details

• Outpatient-based PT role at a Level IV Trauma Critical Access Hospital with 46 acute care beds and 22 LTC beds
• Therapy department treats patients of all ages across outpatient, inpatient, and SNF settings, with specialty areas including wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatrics
• Clinician may float within scope to cover outpatient, acute care, and SNF as needed
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekend coverage required
• No on-call requirement
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Free parking available on-site
• Block scheduling accommodated upon request

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Active Alaska (AK) PT license required; pending licensure not accepted
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance with rental car coverage required prior to operating the facility-provided vehicle
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• RTO is limited; a small number of days may be approved, but significant RTO requests are discouraged
• Facility provides a 1-bedroom apartment for the duration of the assignment; pets are not allowed and additional guests must be pre-approved by the facility
• Facility provides a vehicle for local use within a 30-mile radius of the facility; the vehicle may not be taken off-road or outside this radius
• Travelers must turn in the vehicle during any time off and will receive a new one upon return
• Scrubs of any color or business casual attire are acceptable
