Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU experience for a night shift travel position in a Level IV NICU setting, requiring at least 2 years of pediatric critical care experience and hands-on experience with high-frequency jet and oscillating ventilators.

Details

• Position is based in a Level IV NICU at an academic medical center
• Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients
• Experience with pediatric cardiac anomalies is a core component of the role
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Schedules are published in 6-week blocks
• 6 weekend shifts required per schedule block
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, pediatrics, and ED required
• Level IV NICU experience is a hard stop requirement
• Hands-on experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators required
• Experience with pediatric cardiac anomalies required
• Active NC RRT license or Compact license in hand at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• All required certifications must be in hand: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
• 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required from 10/31–3/31 with no exemptions accepted

• Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are considered local and eligible for a reduced pay rate
