Description

American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Acute Physical Therapist Assistant for a 13-week travel contract at a level 2 trauma center, working day shifts Monday through Friday with weekend coverage required.

Details

• Acute inpatient setting within the Physical Therapy department of a level 2 trauma center
• Patient population includes neurological, orthopedic, cardiovascular, oncological, and general medical conditions
• Clinician is expected to work across all units within the hospital, primarily located in one tower
• Uses Cerner EMR with real-time, point-of-service documentation expected
• Day shift schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Minimum of 2 weekend days per month required, with additional weekend opportunities available

Requirements

• Current active PTA license (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• SSN and a valid US home address required for eligibility
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide real-time documentation and point-of-service care as part of daily clinical responsibilities
• Engage regularly with an interdisciplinary team including occupational therapy and speech therapy
• Large rehab department of approximately 45–50 associates, including roughly 8 core PTs, 3 core PTAs, and approximately 7 PRN PTs and assistants
• Orientation and training will be provided by the team to prepare the traveler for clinical responsibilities
