American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with travel experience and Level I Trauma background for a day shift position at a 426-bed short-term acute care hospital within the Yale New Haven Health System.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• Level II Trauma Center
• Rotating through all areas of the hospital, including NICU and Pediatric units, based on census and staffing needs
• Will float between two campuses as needed
• Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• Option to pick up additional shifts
• Charting via Epic
• Free parking available

Requirements

• Current RRT credential or CRT, plus applicable state license (license required if applicable)
• BLS required
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Draeger ventilator experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• NICU experience preferred
• 1 reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved; all RTO must be finalized prior to accepting an offer, as additional requests after acceptance will not be approved
• Travelers may be asked to orientate students or new hires as needed
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
• Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccination and booster required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
• Contract length is 26 weeks, with an option for a 13-week assignment if preferred
