Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care, inpatient rehab, or SNF experience for a 13-week day shift assignment at a 472-bed acute care teaching facility in Atlantis, FL.

Details

• 42-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit within a 472-bed acute care medical/surgical facility specializing in cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, bariatrics, and women's services
• Patient population includes orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general med/surg cases
• Day shift hours, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 8-hour shifts
• One weekend per month required, with compensating weekdays off
• Schedule influenced by surgical volume, with weekend and holiday rotation
• No night shifts
• Average of 12 staff on shift, including a Director, Lead PT, 4–5 PTs, and 5–6 PTAs
• EMR: Meditech
• Equipment includes treatment beds, exercise balls, resistance bands, treadmills, and exercise bikes
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, or SNF settings required
• Active PT license required where applicable
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Must have active experience in the specialty within the last 6 months
• DPT preferred
• Must be able to work varied day shift hours
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
• Two professional references required (position is located in Florida)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — no local candidates will be considered

• Team environment includes collaboration with OTs, PTAs, a Lead PT, and a Director
