American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with home health experience and a VA PTA license for a 13-week Home Health assignment covering Newport News and Yorktown, VA.

Details

• Home health setting covering the Newport News and Yorktown, VA areas
• Caseload of 5 patients per day (30 points per week)
• Day shift schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8-hour days)
• No call requirements and no weekend shifts
• Office is closed for major holidays
• Expected daily driving of approximately 45–60 miles; mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate
• No requirement to report to a home base before or after shifts
• 13- or 26-week contract available

Requirements

• Active Virginia PTA license required; candidates licensed in a compact state (AR, AZ, CO, GA, IA, IN, KY, LA, MD, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, OK, OR, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WV) are eligible for the VA compact license
• License required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA
• Prior home health experience required
• Valid driver's license required; copy of DL and SSN card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
