American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in a short-term acute care setting.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds, operating as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• RRT unit serving both adult and pediatric ICU patient populations
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (18:00–06:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage is required; only 1 holiday off can be approved per contract
• Floating within the hospital or to a sister campus may be required based on facility needs
• No on-call requirement
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Current RRT credential required
• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
• Comfort and proficiency working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active state or compact RT license required at time of consideration; pending licenses are not accepted
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Any called-off shifts may require a makeup shift at the manager's discretion
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 4 days per contract; all requests must be submitted upfront
• Pre-start orientation modules are required (estimated 4–10 hours) and must be completed before the assignment begins
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning
• Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before being required to leave for a minimum of 6 months prior to returning
• Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white
