Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant with SD licensure and at least 1 year of experience for a home health role serving the Southern Black Hills region of South Dakota.

Details

• Home health setting serving the Southern Black Hills area, including Hot Springs, Custer, Edgemont, Hill City, Hermosa, and surrounding communities
• Patient population includes medically compromised adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, DM, cardiac conditions, orthopedic and neurological conditions, dementia, and general weakness
• Charting and documentation performed in Epic
• Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour day shifts and no weekend rotation or on-call requirements
• Office is closed on 6 major holidays
• Mileage reimbursed at the current IRS standard mileage rate

Requirements

• Active South Dakota PTA license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA
• Completion of a PTA program approved by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) required
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• 2 professional references dated within the last year required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide physical therapy services to home health patients across the Southern Black Hills region
• Multidisciplinary home health team includes RN, LPN, OT, PTA, SLP, Aides, MSW, and case managers
• Orientation is approximately 1 week and includes Epic training, shadowing, and documentation process overview
• Any color scrubs or business casual attire acceptable; denim and sweats are not permitted
