American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience, including PICU experience at a large hospital, for a night shift travel assignment in a pediatric critical care setting.

• Pediatric critical care patient population
• Epic EMR — experience required
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Floating required to CTICU, NICU, H8A (Pulmonary), and Core (General/ED) units

Requirements

• Active Ohio (OH) RRT license required and must be in hand prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of overall respiratory therapy experience, with at least 1 year of full-time experience in a large hospital PICU
• Current certifications: BLS, PALS, RRT credential
• Level I pediatric trauma center experience strongly preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, high-frequency oscillator, and mechanical ventilation weaning
• Experience with medication delivery systems including nitric oxide (iNO), racemic epinephrine, tobramycin, and other inhaled medications
• Skills in airway management, intubation assist, tracheostomy care, ABG interpretation, and chest physiotherapy
• Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment including oscillating ventilators, HFNC, and nasal CPAP
• Two supervisory references required for consideration (charge nurse references count as only one); at least one reference must hold a manager or supervisor title
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill pediatric patients across PICU and float units
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who have worked permanently at this facility must have a gap of at least 2 years before being considered
• Teaching hospital experience is preferred, reflecting the academic environment of this facility
