Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU, PICU, pediatric, and adult care experience for a day shift travel position at a children's hospital connected to an adult facility.

Details

• Primary assignment is in a children's hospital NICU/PICU with the ability to float to connected adult units on the same campus as needed
• Patient population includes neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients
• Skills utilized include ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, intubation assist, extubation, tracheostomy care, airway management and suctioning, nebulizer therapy, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Epic EMR experience required
• Day shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Orientation begins on Mondays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)

Requirements

• Active RRT license required (license in-hand required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an RRT
• Experience in NICU, PICU, pediatric, and adult care settings required
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Current AHA certifications required: ACLS, BLS (ACLS satisfies BLS requirement), PALS, and NRP
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Candidates must be able to complete a drug test within 12–14 calendar days prior to start and be available for a repeat test if needed
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to comply with CDC fit testing guidelines

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services across neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations
• Contract team members are expected to actively participate in clinical student education and support alongside their regular clinical responsibilities
• Orientation includes online CBL modules averaging 4–5 hours, completed during the orientation period
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration
• AHA-issued certifications are required; other providers are not accepted
