Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with inpatient adult ICU/ED, PICU, and Level III NICU experience for a 12-hour night shift travel assignment at an academic teaching hospital in Vermont.

Details

• Inpatient respiratory care setting within an academic teaching hospital
• Patient populations include adult ICU, Emergency Department (ED), PICU, and Level III NICU
• 12-hour night shifts, Monday through Sunday (no block schedules)
• Weekend availability required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR used; recent experience is required

Requirements

• Current RRT credential required; CRT not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Academic teaching hospital experience required
• NICU Level III experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
• Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor (at least one from the past 6 months, one from within the past year) required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• License required if applicable
• Schedule flexibility is a must

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services across adult ICU, ED, PICU, and Level III NICU patient populations
• Travelers must be available to work 2 of the following 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
• Prior travel experience is preferred but not required
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• Candidates holding a Vermont license are accepted, as are candidates with proof of a pending New York license
• NICU level(s) worked must be clearly documented in employment history
• All employment history must include bed count, EMR system, and facility type; gaps of more than 90 days must be explained
• Bi-weekly Monday orientations are held on a rolling basis
