Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a hospital acute care position, requiring at least 1 year of hospital acute experience and current MD licensure or eligibility.

Details

• Fast-paced acute care hospital setting with a large therapy team
• Caseload includes a mix of orthopedic, neurological, and critical care diagnoses
• Monday through Friday schedule with one weekend day per month
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Degree from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program
• Current MD state licensure or eligibility in Physical Therapy; license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience required; new graduates with strong acute clinical rotations may also be considered
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Experience with EMR documentation required
• Strong skills in flexibility, time management, leadership, and communication required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include delivering PT services per treatment plans, documenting patient progress, conducting patient and family education, and supporting department compliance
• Physical Therapist Assistants with at least 1 year of hospital acute experience are also encouraged to apply
