Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 18 months of ICU experience for a night shift, every-weekend position at a major academic health system in Indiana.

Details

• Night shift hours: 7p–7:30a (4x12-hour shifts)
• Every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) is required, plus two rotating weekdays
• ICU patient population
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Float rotation between multiple affiliated hospital campuses

Requirements

• NBRC RRT credential required
• Active Indiana or Compact respiratory therapy license required if applicable
• Current ACLS and BLS (AHA or RQI accepted) required
• Minimum 18 months of ICU experience, with at least 18 months recent
• Education must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA
• Cerner charting experience required

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must be willing and available to work every weekend as a condition of this assignment
• Travelers are required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be approved during the assignment
• Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Indiana-licensed RNs are not eligible for this facility; however, this restriction does not apply to Allied travelers such as Respiratory Therapists
