American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience, including pediatrics, for an evening/night shift position at a short-term acute care Level III trauma center that is part of the Yale New Haven Health System.

Details

• Short-term acute care Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• Respiratory Therapy / Neuro Diagnostics unit
• Pediatric patient population experience required
• 40 hours per week with 8- and/or 12-hour shifts
• Evening and/or night shifts; current posting reflects an evening shift (2:45 PM – 12:45 AM)
• At least every other weekend and every other holiday required, based on department need
• Floating to a sister facility may be required based on department need
• Charting via Epic
• Free parking available

Requirements

• Current RRT credential required
• CT and RI state licenses required; candidates may begin with one active license and one pending
• License required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Pediatrics experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Travelers are expected to participate in any natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
• Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccination and booster are required, with religious or medical exemptions accepted
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• The facility can auto-approve up to 7 days of requested time off (RTO) for the duration of the assignment
