American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Adult ICU, ED, and NICU Level III experience for a 16-week night shift assignment at a teaching hospital in Vermont.

Details

• Inpatient Respiratory Care Services department at an academic teaching hospital
• Adult ICU, Emergency Department, and NICU Level III patient populations; PICU experience preferred
• 12-hour night shifts, Monday through Sunday
• Schedule flexibility is required; block schedules are not available
• No on-call requirements
• Weekends as needed
• Epic EMR in use

Requirements

• Must hold RRT credential; CRT will not be accepted
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an RRT
• Adult ICU, ED, and NICU Level III experience required; PICU experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Epic experience within the past 2 years required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• NRP certification required for consideration
• Vermont licensure not required at time of consideration; NY candidates may be considered with proof of pending NY license — license required if applicable
• At least 2 references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor are required for consideration (1 within the past 6 months, 1 within the past year of employment)
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Prior travel experience preferred

Additional Information

• Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility (measured by straight-line distance) are eligible as local candidates; those living 51–100 miles away qualify for travel rates
• NICU level(s) worked should be noted in employment history
• All employment gaps of more than 90 days should be addressed
• This is an immediate-need backfill position with a potential assignment length of 16–32 weeks
