American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and 2+ years of experience for an inpatient rehab setting in Detroit, MI.

Details

• Hospital-based inpatient speech therapy setting
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
• Wednesday through Saturday schedule, four 10-hour shifts per week
• Shift hours are approximately 7:45am to 6:15pm, with some flexibility on start time
• 40 hours per week, full-time assignment
• 13-week contract with potential for permanent conversion
• Cerner and/or Epic EMR experience is a plus
• May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred; Bachelor's degree required at minimum
• CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) required
• Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathology license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of speech pathology experience in a healthcare setting
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Valid Michigan driver's license and satisfactory driving record required
• Sufficient physical stamina to meet the demands of the role
• Strong documentation, communication, and self-motivation skills

Additional Information

• Implements individualized speech-language pathology treatment programs for patients with communication deficits
• Works under the general supervision of the therapy manager
• Must complete online orientation modules onsite, typically one week prior to the assignment start date, with a passing score required
• COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for all staff at this facility
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to assignment start; requests made after the assignment begins will be subject to manager approval
