American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and active GA or compact RN license, with on-call responsibilities and advanced cardiac/vascular case exposure.

Details

• Hospital-based Cath Lab setting serving an adult to geriatric patient population
• Patient diagnoses include NSTEMI, abnormal EKG, abnormal stress test, Type 1 MI, shortness of breath, cardiogenic shock, CAD, PVD, ESRD, and DKI
• Specialized equipment includes Impella, IABP, EKOS, Penumbra, Inari, CSI, Shockwave, temporary pacers, FFR, IVUS, Medrad (power injector), and Swan-Ganz catheter
• Caseload consists of 3 rooms with approximately 20–25 patients per day
• EMR system is Epic; Pyxis and SBAR also in use
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within all sectors of the Cath Lab, including Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, Vascular Lab, Hemodialysis Catheter Placements, and Atherectomy/Thrombectomy
• Approximately 9–10 on-call shifts per month required
• No alternate shifts or schedule change requests will be accommodated

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP RN experience required
• Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO may not be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO allowed; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
