Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric and/or neonatal ICU experience for a night shift NICU travel assignment at a children's hospital and Level 2 Trauma center.

Details

• Children's hospital setting with 145 staffed beds, designated as a Level 2 Trauma center and magnet/teaching facility
• Work across NICU, PICU, and CICU units
• Servo I ventilator experience required
• Charting via Epic EMR
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00
• Weekend work required
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
• No floating to sister facilities

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric and/or neonatal ICU respiratory therapy
• Active RRT credential required upon start; CRT accepted at time of signing
• Nebraska state license required if applicable — candidates must apply for NE license within the first 40 hours of signing, with proof of application required
• Current certifications: BLS, PALS, CRTT (CRT accepted at signing; RRT required once assignment begins)
• Servo I ventilator experience
• Epic EMR experience

• Responsibilities include airway management (natural and artificial), non-invasive and invasive ventilator management, cardiopulmonary assessment, bronchial hygiene therapies, delivery of respiratory medications, medical gas therapy, aerosol/humidity management, respiratory education (asthma, trach, pulmonary disease), and CPR
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• RTO of 5 days or fewer is preferred; 6–10 days of RTO may require extending the contract end date
