American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with ICU and extensive cardiac experience for a Float Pool position in Rockford, IL, covering multiple units including Cardiac Telemetry, Med-Surg, Step-Down, and ICU.

Details

• Float Pool position covering multiple units including Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and ICU
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active IL RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• ICU experience required
• Extensive cardiac experience required
• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
• COVID-19 vaccination required

Additional Information

• Primary focus on ICU-level patients with the expectation to float down to Medical Surgical units as needed
• Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, developing and executing individualized patient care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members
• Participates in department performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Applies critical thinking for patient safety and escalates concerns through the appropriate chain of command
