American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 1 year of experience, with day shifts and an every-other-weekend schedule.

Details

• General Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• Uses Epic EMR, Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Navy blue scrubs required
• RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work 2, with 1 holiday RTO request eligible for review
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as 1)
• No schedule change requests or alternate shift arrangements are permitted; the posted shift is firm
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler
• The shift schedule is fixed with no special scheduling requests accepted
