American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health position in Gallatin, TN, requiring psychiatric nursing experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Adult Behavioral Health Unit in a 167-bed, Level III Trauma Center hospital
• 12-bed psychiatric unit serving an adult population
• Common diagnoses include Alzheimer's, behavioral disturbance, failure to thrive, depression, and suicidal ideation
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to Med/Surg may be required
• EMR: Meditech

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or Compact) required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS and Handle With Care (HWC)
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience required
• Geriatric psychiatric experience preferred
• Medical floor experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Additional Information

• Provide psychiatric nursing care to adult patients on a dedicated behavioral health unit
• Orientation takes place on Mondays
• Candidates must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Team-oriented work environment reporting to the Director of Behavioral Health
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• 13-week contract
