American Traveler is seeking an experienced Psychiatric RN for a night shift Behavioral Health position in Gallatin, TN, requiring at least 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience and a valid TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 12-bed Behavioral Health Adult unit at a 167-bed Level III Trauma Center hospital
• Patient population includes adults with diagnoses such as Alzheimer's, behavioral disturbance, failure to thrive, depression, and suicidal ideation
• Patient ratio is 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• Floating to Med/Surg may be required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• EMR: Meditech
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in TN or a valid compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS and Handle With Care (HWC)
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Geriatric psychiatric experience and medical floor experience are preferred
• Candidate must be team-oriented to fit the unit culture
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• All clinical staff must be cleared through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
