Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a PICU-based night shift position at a children's hospital, requiring a minimum of 18 months–2 years of pediatric experience and every-weekend availability.

Details

• Pediatric hospital setting with a home unit of NICU, PICU, or Peds — assigned at time of placement based on facility need
• Patient population includes NICU, PICU, and general pediatrics; candidates with L&D experience will primarily be placed in L&D
• Floating may occur across PICU, NICU, and Peds units, as well as to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00, Friday through Sunday (every weekend required)
• 13-week contract
• EMR: Cerner (experience required)

Requirements

• Active Indiana state RT license required; IN temporary license accepted if permanent license application has been submitted — license required if applicable
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, and NRP
• PALS preferred
• Minimum 18 months–2 years of PICU or NICU experience required
• Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years required; experience at a Level 1 adult facility may also be considered
• L&D experience required
• Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
• AHA and RQI certifications accepted; all certifications must be current
