Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 2 years of NICU/PICU experience and children's hospital background for a night shift travel assignment in a pediatric hospital setting.

Details

• Work setting is a children's hospital NICU, with floating to PICU and some Pediatric Acute Care as needed
• Home unit (NICU, PICU, or Peds) will be assigned upon arrival and may change based on facility need
• Travelers may also float to an affiliate hospital nearby
• Primary work will be in Labor & Delivery (L&D)
• Uses Cerner for charting
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Every other weekend is required
• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Requirements

• Current IN state license or Compact License required prior to start; license required if applicable
• Active certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, and NRP
• PALS preferred
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years required; experience at a Level 1 adult facility may also be considered
• L&D experience required
• NICU or PICU experience required
• Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
• Certifications must be issued by AHA or RQI and current at time of consideration
• Prior confirmation that the candidate is comfortable with the every other weekend requirement is needed for consideration

• Any former permanent or PRN employee of the facility must have been away for at least 12 months before being eligible to apply as a traveler
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
• NRP certification can be obtained after an offer is extended if not already held
