Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 2 years of experience and Level 3 NICU expertise for a 26-week night shift travel assignment at a short-term acute care hospital.

Details

• Work in a Level 3 NICU at a 426-bed short-term acute care hospital that is part of a major health system
• Neonatal patient population requiring advanced ventilator management
• Experience with neonatal oscillating ventilators and Draeger vents is essential to this role
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) rotation required
• Holiday coverage is expected as needed
• Floating between two campuses (main hospital and satellite campus) is required as needed
• Travelers should expect to rotate through all areas of the hospital, including NICU and Pediatric units, based on census and staffing needs
• Free parking available on site

Requirements

• Current CRT or RRT credential required
• Active state RT license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RT experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• NICU experience required, specifically in a Level 3 NICU setting
• Proficiency with neonatal oscillating ventilators required
• Draeger ventilator experience required
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine required; religious or medical exemptions are accepted

Additional Information

• Travelers may be asked to orient students or new hires as needed
• Candidates who were previously employed at this facility as permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Up to 7 days of requested time off (RTO) may be auto-approved by the facility
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities if called upon
