Description

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health PTA with VA licensure (or compact), OASIS experience, and a minimum of 1 year of experience for a 13-week travel assignment in the Newport News, VA area.

Details

• Home health setting covering the Newport News and Yorktown areas
• Caseload of approximately 5 patients per day (30 points per week)
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8-hour days)
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Office is closed for major holidays
• Daily driving of approximately 45–60 miles is expected
• Contract length is 13 or 26 weeks

Requirements

• Active VA PTA license required; candidates licensed in a qualifying compact state are also eligible
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required
• Home health experience required; inpatient or outpatient experience does not qualify
• OASIS documentation experience required
• Valid driver's license and SSN card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Clinicians are not required to report to a home base before or after shifts
• Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS rate
• Virginia is a compact state; candidates holding a license in a qualifying compact state may be eligible for expedited licensure
