American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 3rd Floor Overflow unit, requiring at least 1 year of experience and a Level 1 trauma background.

Details

• Hospital-based position on a 3rd Floor Overflow (Medicine Specialty) unit
• Med/Surg and step-down patient population with cases ranging from simple to complex
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week (48 hours per week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA certifications only accepted
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Med/Surg (MS) and step-down (SD) experience required
• Level 1 trauma facility experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
• Full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Charge nurse experience is preferred
• Travel nursing experience is preferred
• Responsibilities include administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, documenting patient responses, and delegating tasks to support staff
• BSN from a board-approved nursing program is preferred
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 cumulative weeks before being eligible for a new contract (one extension permitted, up to 26 total weeks)
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer — compliance deadlines are firm and non-negotiable
