American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) night shift position in Tampa, FL, requiring vent/trach experience and active FL or compact RN licensure.

Details

• LTAC setting within a long-term acute care hospital
• Chronic care unit (Unit 4674 - Chronic 3)
• Patient population includes complex, critically ill patients requiring long-term acute care
• Telemetry monitoring is part of the care environment
• Vent/trach management and central line knowledge required; wound care experience preferred
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or multi-state compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only; RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC or relevant RN experience
• Vent/trach experience required; central line knowledge required
• Wound care experience preferred
• Candidates must not have gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for shift accountability and utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Kindred Hospital facility (permanent or contract)
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
• Candidates must not be currently employed in a permanent role at any facility while on a travel assignment
