Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring Level 1 trauma experience and AHA-issued certifications, working nights in a hospital setting.

Details

• Full-time, 13-week contract in a Pediatric ICU at a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3 days per week, 12 hours per day (36 hours per week)
• Cares for a variety of pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• CVICU and NICU experience is preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — no other issuers accepted
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Level 1 facility experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care and apply clinical techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Basic computer skills required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned group of patients, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and collaborating with physicians during exams and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitors and responds to physiological data, delegates tasks to support staff, and communicates care plans with patients and families
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may extend once for a maximum of 26 total weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before returning for an additional contract
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) is strictly enforced — non-compliance may result in cancellation
