American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit position requiring at least one year of Level 1 trauma experience and AHA certifications.

Details

• Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (Hem/Onc) unit within a hospital setting
• Pediatric medical/surgical patient population with hematology and oncology cases
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Oncology experience is preferred for this position

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC compact license)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current PALS certification from the AHA
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
• Minimum of 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program; BSN preferred
• Basic computer skills required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned group of pediatric patients, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and managing IV infusions and blood products
• Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may work a maximum of 26 weeks total (including one extension); a 6-month separation period is required before returning after reaching that limit
• Compliance requirements (drug screening, background check, medical documentation) must be initiated immediately upon accepting an offer and deadlines are strictly enforced
