American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
• ICU unit with a patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope to like units may be required based on facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass an EKG exam — no exceptions
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers are not preferred; consideration may be made at the manager's discretion based on years of experience
• Scrub color: royal blue and white
• Pre-start orientation modules are required (approximately 4–10 hours)
• RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general max of 4 days; only 1 holiday can be approved
• Previous employees or travelers must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning in a travel capacity
• Travelers on night shift may extend up to twice before being required to leave for a minimum of 6 months before returning
