Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel contract at an acute care hospital in South Carolina, requiring 4+ years of OR experience and an active SC or compact RN license in hand prior to start.

Details

• Work setting is an acute care hospital (119 staffed beds) in an Operating Room unit
• Schedule is five 8-hour day shifts (6:45a–3:15p)
• Weekends are required approximately every 4th weekend with weekday coverage
• On-call is required per call rotation; weekday call runs 3:00pm–7:00am (not every weekday)
• Call requirements may change based on staffing needs
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs or between like/sister units may be required
• Charting is done in Epic
• Surgical scrubs are provided by the facility
• Free parking is available in any unrestricted space on campus

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand prior to start
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum of 4 years of OR RN experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of profile consideration; approval is based on facility needs
• Block schedule requests may be submitted for approval prior to the assignment but are not guaranteed
• During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
