American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a day shift travel assignment in Respiratory Services at a Level II trauma center and Magnet®-designated hospital in Asheville, NC.

Details

• Position is based in Respiratory Services at an 854-bed Magnet®-designated hospital that serves as the region's Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and includes a Level III NICU and children's hospital
• Adult and pediatric/neonatal service lines are supported, with 15–20 RRTs on day shift for adult services and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Peds services
• Patient ratios range from 10 to 25 patients
• Equipment used includes GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger infant/peds ventilators, Newport HT70 transport ventilator, V60 non-invasive device, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high-flow oxygen devices
• EMR system is Cerner
• Day shift hours: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• At least 4 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Floating to all critical care units and floors is required
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
• NC Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy; allied candidates must have at least 6 months of experience within the last 6 months
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) is required for RRTs caring for neonates
• NRP preferred for all other candidates
• US SSN and date of birth (DOB) required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• Professional references required (1 reference for most states; 2 references required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
• Work alongside a large respiratory therapy team of up to 120 staff members across all shifts
• Required scrub color: Medium Gray/Pewter
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible, no exceptions
