American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) with 2+ years of full-lifespan experience for a 12-hour night shift travel assignment at a Level I Trauma Center in Libertyville, IL.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy Services: Pulmonary unit at a 273-bed Level I Trauma Center, Level II NICU, Magnet-designated teaching hospital and Primary Stroke Center in Libertyville, IL
• Patient population spans full lifespan: neonatal through geriatric respiratory patients
• 1:1 patient ratios
• 12-hour night shifts beginning at 6:00 PM, 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• Holiday coverage as needed
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Floating may be required to other hospitals within the Patient Service Area (PSA)
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Ventilators: PB840, PB980, Servo-U, and Hamilton
• CPAP/BiPAP: V60, ResMed, and RemStar
• Optiflow and transport vents (Hamilton) also in use
• Free parking on site

Requirements

• Active RRT or CRT credential required
• Active IL respiratory therapy license required, if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience across the full patient lifespan (pediatric, adult, and geriatric)
• Critical care experience required
• Experience with trachs, nitrous oxide procedures, proning techniques, ECMO, ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention, spontaneous breathing trials, and ABG draws
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (AHA) required — must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference from within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis
• 1-day orientation provided on the unit
• Supervision provided by a unit supervisor
• Charcoal gray scrubs required
• Adequate PPE including N95 respirators available on site
