Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PICU travel assignment at a pediatric children's hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PICU experience and prior completed travel assignments.

Details

• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a children's hospital
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Weekends required on an as-needed basis
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or Compact (NLC) license required; no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required; 3+ years preferred
• BSN preferred for this position
• At least one previously completed travel assignment required; first-time travelers are not eligible
• Driver's License required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront, as RTO will not be approved if not listed at the time of initial consideration
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
