American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of recent ventilator and airway management experience for a night shift travel assignment at a long-term acute care hospital in Northlake, IL.

Details

• Long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) setting in Northlake, IL
• Respiratory Therapy department providing cardiopulmonary services to inpatient and outpatient populations
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience with ventilator management, ventilator weaning, tracheostomy, ET tube, CPAP, BiPAP, and nebulizer treatments
• NBRC RRT certification required
• IL Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (RCIS and RQI certifications not accepted)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• All certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway maintenance, insertion of arterial lines, intubations, delivery of medicated aerosols, pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gas analysis
• Assists physicians with both invasive and non-invasive procedures
• Follows protocols approved by medical staff and department policy to provide timely diagnostic and therapeutic services
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility in a permanent or contract role may be asked to provide details of prior employment
